Colour Run

The Student Representative Council will be holding a fundraising "Colour Run" on Tuesday 29 November 2016 as part of our end of year celebrations. Those who choose to participate will need to wear an old shirt or a white or light coloured T-shirt that has been purchased especially to be coloured on the day. Each student who participates will need to pay $5.00 in advance to their classroom teacher.

The product used to colour the shirts is made of corn starch and food colour dye. Corn starch is a 100% natural product and the dyes are only those used in the food industry. They have been clinically tested and found them to be safe. The product may stain clothing and so it is recommended that old or specially purchased shirts be worn on the day to avoid any concerns about washing.

Students will NOT be allowed to participate if they are wearing their school shirt/uniform.

On the day, participants will run or walk around the oval moving through the colour stations where the colour will be placed onto their shirts or they may choose to run through colour that has been thrown into the air by teachers. Their shirts will be multi-coloured by the end, a great reminder of the fun activity!

If you are concerned about the powder causing any irritation to the throat, your child may wear a mask supplied by the school. Other local schools have held this activity and the children have enjoyed it immensely.

Thank you for your continued support.
