School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Swimming Scheme
Students in Year 2-Year 6 will be able to attend swim scheme lessons (5 days altogether).
Date: Monday 2nd March 2026- Friday 6th March 2026 (Stage 2 and Stage 3)
Monday 9th March 2026- Friday 13th March 2026 (Year 2 and Support Unit)

Meet the Teacher - Afternoon BBQ
You're invited to join us for our Meet the Teacher Afternoon BBQ!
The afternoon will begin with a short information session, followed by time to meet your child's classroom teacher and recieve important stage-specific information for the year ahead.
Parents, carers and students will also a recieve a token from their child's teacher for a free sausage sizzle from the BBQ.

Time: 3:30pm - 4:30pm (BBQ from 3:45 pm)

NAPLAN
Students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 are tested on the fundamental literacy and numeracy skills that every child needs to become successful learners in school and beyond.
LWPS NAPLAN Schedule:
Wednesday 11 March = Writing test
Thursday 12 March = Reading test
Monday 16 March = Conventions of language test
Thursday 19 March = Numeracy test

Harmony Day
Harmony day celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity and encourages respect, inclusion, and a sense of belonging for everyone. Students are encouraged to get involved in the celebration by wearing orange. They will be taking part in activities that promote kindness and understanding throughout the week.
