Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

Warami, ngalawa midigar
Hello, come sit down friends

Bayala, Ngarala, Tia Tila

Let’s talk, let’s listen, let’s learn

I pay my deepest respects to the Cabrogal people of the Dharug Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Liverpool West Public School stands. I acknowledge Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who walk with us today.

It is a privilege to lead Liverpool West Public School — a vibrant, diverse, and welcoming community where every child is known, valued, and supported to thrive. At our school, we nurture a culture of wellbeing, belonging, and high expectations. We believe that learning flourishes when students feel safe, connected, and inspired to take risks in their learning.

Our vision — Byala, Ngarala, Tia Tila — reminds us of the importance of genuine conversation, active listening, and shared learning. These values shape how we teach, lead, and engage with one another every day.

At Liverpool West, we are proud to be the heart of our community. Our staff, students, and families work together to create opportunities that empower every learner to achieve their personal best — academically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to inclusive education that celebrates diversity, fosters creativity, and builds the skills and confidence our students need to thrive in a changing world.

I invite all members of our school community to stay connected, participate, and share in the many moments that make Liverpool West Public School such a special place to learn and grow.

Yanu,

Lucy Martin
Principal
